Bridge loans are taken out on both residential and commercial properties, enabling buyers to move quickly in securing property deals and to take advantage of short-term finance opportunities as a means of securing longer term financing.
A bridge loan is typically paid back when the property is sold, refinanced with a mainstream lender, improved or completed, or in the event of a specific change which causes a subsequent round of mortgage financing to occur.
